Job Description: Missouri Organic Recycling is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role in driving financial performance through advanced financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting. This position will partner closely with the Owners and senior leadership to develop and execute financial strategies, improve operational efficiency, and support informed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of revenue and expense data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; deliver actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Design, build, and maintain advanced financial models and forecasting tools across business segments, product lines, and operational units. 
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reporting packages for Owners and senior management, translating complex data into clear, executive-level insights and visualizations.  
  • Partner closely with the Accounting team to guide and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and consistency in financial reporting. 
  • Lead continuous improvement of internal reporting tools and systems; identify and implement opportunities for automation, standardization, and enhanced analytics capabilities.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards. 
  • Lead development, monitoring, and analysis of branch and departmental budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and performance insights. 
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, supporting process improvement and professional development. 

Qualifications we consider: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred. 
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and accounting; private accounting experience preferred. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial modeling and reporting tools required.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and business acumen. 
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Willingness to work outside standard business hours when required. 
  • Ability to travel for meetings, training, or conferences as needed.
